The Ending of LMA's "Outside Music Show" on Live365.com

Lost Media Archive announces the ending of its "Outsider Music" internet radio show on Live365.

It's been a good few years giving this collection a presence online, and I'm thankful for all the people who wrote and submitted material for this program. As far as I know this has been the only radio in the world dedicated completely to Outsider/Incorrect Music, since in the death of Incorrect Music @ WFMU, and The Outsider Music Hour on KWCR.

The main reason the show is being taken down is due to a lack of $$$ this year.

The show will be completely off the air after May 2. So enjoy it while it lasts! Listen in for free @ http://www.live365.com/stations/bcsterrett

With sadness and regret,

Blair Sterrett (LMA Director)

soundscapes into the aural equivalent on Iron Pyrite.

THERE IS NO NO

FILM EVENT: THERE IS NO NO

THE PROBLEM:
As the Sundance Film Festival descends on Park City, and parts of Salt Lake City, cineastes, art-film aficionados, and local filmmakers comb through festival guides to separate the "Indie-esque" studio films and the sure-to-be-sold-to-a-major-studio films from the films they really want to see... the ones that will never come to Utah again... The true "fringe" films, the one-of-a-kind art films, experimental films and avant-garde wonders that bear no commercial potential, but are beautiful and unique and stunning in their vision... Of course, these are few and far between, and one normally has to sit through about ten or eleven bad films at Sundance to discover that one gem of experimental cinema.

OUR SOLUTION:
Attend the January screening of OUT/EX!
OUT/EX is a local film series devoted to all genres of fringe filmmaking. Each month we hand-select film and video works that would, quite literally, never be shown in any local theatres. On January the 19th, OUT/EX presents THERE IS NO NO, a collection of experimental films from the Free Form Film Festival (see freeformfilm.org). This stunning selection of experimental shorts is as good that of any film festival and we invite YOU to escape your Sundance woes by attending this FREE, LOCAL, and INSPIRING exhibit of true experimental genius from around the world.

Local filmakers Jan Andrews and Tyrone Davies will be in attendance.

HOLY YULE: Santa in a Strange Land

This may well be the most insane OUT/EX show yet!

The December edition or OUT/EX will take place at No Brow Coffee and Tea on Saturday the 22nd at 7pm. This video show, "HOLY YULE: Santa in a Strange Land", will highlight some of the most bizarre Christmas media ever created! This night's holiday treats will include politically incorrect jems like the "Santa Claus Punch and Judy Show", corporate promotional disasters like the "Star Wars Holiday Special", kiddie matinee abortions like "Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny", and public access anomalies like "Miss Velma's Christmas Special" ...and that's not the HALF of it!

This diverse sampling of kitsch and ephemera is curated by the Lost Media Archive. The show is also FREE! Bring friends! Bring family! Bring a yule log!
